👤 Profile Settings

Your Profile page in mendbuddy is where you manage your account details, security settings, and company information. You can access this page by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard.

🧾 Account Information​

In the Account Information section, you can view and update your personal account credentials.

Fields available:​

  • Username
  • Email Address
  • First Name (optional)
  • Last Name (optional)
  • Change Password
    • Enter your current password
    • Enter and confirm your new password
    • Click Save Changes to update

🛈 Your email verification status is also shown here to confirm your email is verified.

🏢 Company Information​

You can view and edit your company details from the Company Information panel.

What you can manage:​

  • Company Name
  • Currency (e.g., GBP, USD, EUR)
  • Location(s) – add or remove office addresses

Click Edit Company Information to launch the company settings wizard, where you can update details and manage multiple addresses.

🔐 Security Settings​

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)​

Add an extra layer of security to your account using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

  • Click the Set up two-factor authentication button
  • Follow the prompts to connect your mobile device and enable secure login

🔒 2FA helps protect your account by requiring both your password and an authentication code from your device during login.

⚠️ Account Deletion​

If you need to permanently delete your mendbuddy account, this option is available through your profile settings.

How to Delete Your Account​

  1. Navigate to your profile at https://dash.mendbuddy.com/dashboard/profile
  2. Scroll to the Account Deletion section (usually at the bottom of the page)
  3. Click "Delete Account" or similar deletion option
  4. Follow the confirmation prompts to verify your decision
  5. Enter any required confirmation text if prompted
  6. Confirm the deletion to permanently remove your account

⚠️ Important Warnings​

Before deleting your account, please understand:

  • All data will be permanently lost including:
    • All Buddies and their configurations
    • Chat history and conversations
    • Uploaded sources and documents
    • Company information and settings
  • This action cannot be undone - deleted accounts cannot be recovered
  • Active subscriptions will be cancelled immediately
  • No refunds are provided for remaining subscription time

Alternative Options​

Before deleting your account completely, consider:

  • Cancelling your subscription to downgrade to the Free tier instead
  • Backing up important data like chat history or configurations
  • Contacting support if you're experiencing issues that might be resolved

💡 Recommendation: If you're unsure, consider downgrading to the Free tier first. You can always delete your account later if needed.

🔄 Where to Access​

To access your profile page at any time:

  1. Click your profile avatar at the top-right of the dashboard.
  2. Select Profile from the dropdown menu.
  3. Or visit directly: https://dash.mendbuddy.com/dashboard/profile

From here, you can manage all your personal and company account settings securely and easily.
