🔌 Embed

You can embed Buddy directly into your own website or application using the Embed feature. This allows your users to interact with Buddy in a seamless, integrated way — all styled to match your brand.

⚙️ Where to Customise​

To access your embed settings:

Navigate to Buddy > Settings > Embed

Here you can customise the look and feel of the embedded Buddy chat interface. Options include:

  • 🎨 Colour Scheme – Match your brand's palette.
  • 🖍️ Button Style – Round, square, or text-based.
  • 🗨️ Chat Bubble Design – Customise how Buddy appears when inactive.
  • 🌙 Dark Mode Support – Optimise for dark-themed websites.

All updates are applied instantly to your embed code once saved.

🧩 How Embedding Works​

The embed is provided as standard HTML that you can copy and paste into your website. You can place it:

  • In your site footer
  • On support or contact pages
  • As a floating button or side widget

🛈 Note: Embedding requires no special frameworks or integrations. Just paste the code where you want Buddy to appear.

🚫 Removing "Powered by mendbuddy"​

By default, all embeds display a small "Powered by mendbuddy" badge. If you'd prefer a fully white-labelled experience:

You can remove the mendbuddy branding by purchasing the Sponsor Customisation add-on.

  • Once purchased, branding can be customised inside the settings and will show on all embeds.

🛠️ Troubleshooting​

If you're running into issues:

  • ✅ Double-check the embed code – Make sure it's pasted into the right location on your site.
  • ✅ Script blocked? – Some site builders or plugins may block scripts. Check permissions or try placing the embed inside your site's <body>.
  • ✅ Styling conflicts? – Custom site styles may override Buddy's default look. Try isolating the embed using an iframe or adjusting CSS rules.
