Buyback Pulse is mendbuddy's built-in tool for managing your buyback pricing — helping your Buddy accurately respond to customers looking to sell their devices. It allows you to set clear "up to" pricing for each model, creating a consistent and automated way to handle trade-in and purchase enquiries.

💰 What Buyback Pulse Does
Buyback Pulse provides a simple, structured way to tell your Buddy:
- Which devices you buy back
- The maximum price you're willing to offer for each model
- Consistent values for quoting during live customer chats
Your Buddy will use this data to guide users through the buyback process, set expectations, and qualify leads for you.
📄 Buyback Pulse Columns
The latest format includes the following columns:
| Column | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Brand | The manufacturer or brand (e.g., Apple, Samsung, Nintendo) |
| Device Model | The specific model name (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, Nintendo N64) |
| Buyback Price | The maximum price you're willing to pay for the device (e.g., 700) |
💡 These prices are treated as the maximum value for each device. Your Buddy may communicate this as "We offer up to £X for your [device]" depending on your setup.
🛠️ Adding & Editing Entries
➕ Manually:
You can quickly add buyback pricing by entering:
- The device model
- The max price you're willing to offer
Click the ➕ button, then hit Save to apply the changes.
📥 Bulk Upload:
For larger updates:
- Click Download Template from the Buyback Pulse screen
- Edit the CSV file using your spreadsheet editor
- Upload the updated file back into mendbuddy
Your Buddy will start using the updated data right away.
✅ Tips for Best Results
- Be consistent with device naming to avoid duplicates (e.g., "iPhone 12 Pro" vs "iPhone12Pro").
- Enter realistic and current prices based on device condition or resale value.
- Consider updating prices regularly to stay competitive.
🔄 Stay Up to Date
You can update your buyback pricing anytime by uploading a new CSV or editing directly in mendbuddy.
Keeping this data fresh helps your Buddy remain accurate, trustworthy, and helpful when responding to customers.
