🛍️ Sales Pulse

Sales Pulse is mendbuddy's tool for managing your product listings — including devices, accessories, or any other items you sell. It allows your Buddy to answer customer questions about availability, pricing, and (optionally) product condition in a clear and structured way.

You can access Sales Pulse by navigating to:

Sources > Sales Pulse

📄 Sales Pulse Columns​

The current template supports the following fields:

ColumnPurpose
BrandThe brand or manufacturer (e.g., Apple, Samsung, Nintendo)
Device ModelThe model or product name (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, Nintendo 64)
Condition(Optional) The product's condition or grade (e.g., Excellent, Good)
PriceThe sale price of the item (e.g., 850.00)

📝 Condition is optional. If you'd prefer not to include it, simply leave the field empty — your Buddy will still respond using the other available details.

⚠️ Consistent Naming is Critical​

To help your Buddy provide accurate and professional responses, it's essential that you use consistent naming across all fields:

  • ✅ Brand names must be written the same way every time (e.g., "Apple" not "apple" or "APPLE").
  • ✅ Device Models should use consistent spacing and casing (e.g., "iPhone 15 Pro", not "iphone15pro").
  • ✅ Condition values should follow a standard set of terms like "New Sealed", "Excellent", "Good", "Fair", or "Poor".

Inconsistent naming may cause Buddy to misidentify listings or return incomplete results.

🛠️ Adding & Editing Listings​

➕ Manually:​

To add items individually:

  1. Enter the brand, model, condition (optional), and price.
  2. Click the ➕ button.
  3. Press Save to apply your changes.

📥 Bulk Upload:​

To manage multiple products:

  1. Click Download Template.
  2. Edit the spreadsheet using your preferred tool.
  3. Upload the updated file back into mendbuddy.

Buddy will instantly begin using the new data for customer interactions.

✅ Tips for Best Results​

  • Use short, clear device and brand names
  • Choose a small, consistent set of Condition terms if used
  • Round pricing cleanly where possible (e.g., 299 or 299.99)
  • Keep your list focused on items you actually have for sale

🔄 Stay Updated​

Update your Sales Pulse file regularly to reflect:

  • New product listings
  • Price adjustments
  • Items sold out or discontinued

Keeping it fresh means Buddy always provides trustworthy and accurate information.
